CJ here with this week’s Blue Collar Mindset Monday – I have a confession to make right out of the gate:
Recently I’ve had SERIOUS “writer’s block” – I haven’t written an article / email / ETC in over a MONTH! This is pretty crazy for me because I usually write every day for about 20 minutes (that’s how I cranked out two books in less than a calendar year).
But for whatever reason I just have not been able to get the words to come out of my head and into the damn computer. Today I realized what my problem was….I was trying to write. That’s it – I was “TRYING” to write instead of actually DOING the WORK of WRITING.
What is the thing YOU KNOW you HAVE TO DO to be the best version of you?
Eat better – train harder – get more accountability, whatever it may be you have to stop TRYING to do the thing; you have to DO THE WORK.
Steven Pressfield is one of my favorite authors, he wrote the book “Do The Work” and this is what it says on page 8:
“The more important a call or action is to the soul’s evolution the more Resistance we will feel towards pursuing it.”
